(Mala) Rookmin Baljohn-Ramcharan
Mala Rookmin Baljohn-Ramcharan has been serving the public as a law professional for over 10+ years. She graduated from the University of the West Indies, with honors, attaining a Bachelor’s of law degree. In September 2009, Mala completed her articling and became a member of the legal profession in Ontario. During the early stages of her career, Mala was hired by legal aid as a staff criminal duty counsel and later continued progressing with an Iranian law firm, representing clients in both family and criminal law. It was then that Mala focused her passion to represent domestically abused women and men, opening up her own practice to focus primarily on family law.
Mala is truly devoted to her clients, dedicating her attention to each case. There is no time of any day that she wouldn’t spend attending to her clients. Her love for her work drives her to go above and beyond, participating in a number of community services. Mala a member of the Peel Law Association. As her motto goes, “You don’t need a firm of lawyers, you just need one dedicated lawyer”, and that is Mala Rookmin Baljohn-Ramcharan.
